The Men's first team sealed promotion to Division One with a 6-3 victory away at Blandford on the final day of the season, finishing top of Division Two and ending the campaign unbeaten at home.
The team won eleven of their fourteen matches, dropping points only in two narrow away defeats early in the season. Captain Richard Knowles described it as the best squad the club has had in years, crediting the depth of the team for keeping standards high throughout.
Key contributors over the season included Will Dennis, who was unbeaten in singles all year, and Paul Childs, whose doubles partnership with Mike Hillborne won 80% of their rubbers. The team also benefited from strong performances from several players who stepped up from the Men's 2 side when needed.
The club will compete in Division One for the first time since 2019 next season. Pre-season training begins in late March — any members interested in being considered for selection should speak to Richard directly.
